Madame Tussauds, Siam Ocean World & Asiatique The Riverfront
Madame Tussauds Bangkok
In the morning our chaffeur pick us up at 5 am to tranfer us to the airport. Our flight from Phuket to Bangkok is with Airasia, we had a promo ticket for this ticket. It’s only cost 250rb IDR per pax. The flight takes 45 minutes.
Landing at the Don Mueang airport pick up our luggage and proceed to the immigration. After cleared the immigration we go to international departure at level in the same building. Arrive from domestic terminal turn left and go straight to the elevator and go up to the level 3. At level 3 we store our baggage at the left baggage service. One day cost per luggage is 75 baht, we took 1.5 day for 113 baht per lugggage and paid later when we collect the luggage. The price is same for any size of baggage.
Go down again to the arrival area we go to exit 6 where the A1 shuttle bus stop is at. The bus going to Mochit station for 30 baht per person. From there we continue to BTS Skytrain from Mochit to Siam, it’s cost xxx baht per person.
Arriving at Siam we walk to the Siam Discovery for having a lunch. After looking around we decide to eat a Food Republic with Chicken Hainanese. After that we go to Madame Tussauds, located in the 6 floor of the mall. We already bought the combo ticket before from internet with access to Madame Tussauds and also Siam Ocean at the same day. The price is more cheap compare to if we buy directly with the Madame Tussauds or Siam Ocean.
After showing our voucher to the ticket counter we receive bill note for the Siam Ocean also for redeeming ticket entrance there. Walk inside Madame Tussauds just like other place we have visited, but Jacky Chen figures in here is free compare in the Hongkong.
Siam Ocean World
After finish we continue walk to Siam Paragon where Siam Ocean is located. This mall is side by side just like MKG in Jakarta so it’s easy and convenience to walk there.
Arriving at Siam Ocean we exchange the voucher we get before at Madame Tussauds and change in to entrance ticket. The place is big and much better in term of the fish collection compared to Sea World in Ancol, Jakarta. Lot of Shark in the tank with different kind of species.
After finish, we go to Glur Hostel we have booked earlier with Booking.com, it’s cost 650baht per double bed with deposit 1000 baht. The place is located in front Bangrak Market near the Saphan Taksin station in the Sukhumvit line. The room is cozy enough and private with curtain in the bed.
From Siam station we take Sukhumvit line to Saphan Taksin station. Proceed check in and have a refreshment before going out again for the night to Asiatique.
Asiatique The Riverfront
After finish up we go out again to Asiatique, from Glur hostel walking to the pier is near, about 100 metres. We took the free shuttle provided to the Asiatique. It’s located at the left side of the pier with a sign to the Asiatique.
The boat system in Bangkok Chao Praya River is quite easy to understand. The boat docking at one side land part only. The queue split in to two line, if we queue at the left then it’s for the left direction, also vice versa for the right queue.
Spending time in there with stroll around the shop in there, tooking photograph in the area, also having a dinner at Japanese restaurant until 9:00 pm and then back again to hostel same with Asiatique free shuttle service boat.
