The tour pickup at 8am from our hotel and then to Aonang first to pick up other passenger before to Bor Thor. From Aonang to Bor Thor about 40minutes drive.

Bor Thor Village, located in the North of Krabi province, is home to the historical sites of Tham Lod and Pee Hua Toh Cave. Kayaking is the most practical way to explore these sea caves. At Tham Lod, you can paddle from one side of the limestone pinnacle through a tunnel to the other side. The tunnel gives you splendid sightings of stalactites and stalagmites.

Pee Hua Toh Cave, the cave comes from the Carboniferous to Permian period, 230 – 340 million years ago. There are prehistoric wall paintings in the cave and also stalactites, stalagmites and tubular stones. It was reported that Big skulls of human were found here and that why we name the cave “Pee Hua Toh” which means “big headed ghost”.

Arriving at Bor Thor we start the kayaking trip. Each kayak for two people, you can paddle your own or paddled with local people. For the half the day tour we only visit two cave and then back for having a light lunch at 12am before transfer back to hotel.

Prepare your energy for this paddling trip.

Arrive at hotel we have a shower first, even we’ve already check out they permitted us for using the bath room and have a shower. Finish up then we stroll around neighbourhood, starting to Wat Kaew Korawaram temple which is Budhist temple and then to Fruit Market. At Fruit Market we ate a peeled durian two pack and quarter of watermelon for 390baht total, watermelon only 20baht.

Finish up the durian we back to hotel for waiting our transfer car to airport at 5pm. Journey to airport is just only 20-30minutes. Standard cost for taking an ordered taxi to and from the airport is 350 baht and 400 baht.

Arrive at the airport to terminal 1 international where AirAsia counter check in located and the check in at terminal 2 domestic terminal for bound to Bangkok. We got a delayed flight from originally departured at 7pm to 8:35pm.

Our hotel for tonight was Thip Mansion. It was an apartment that cost 990baht for a night. We just transit 1 night for tommorow morning flight to Hanoi also with AirAsia. From airport to hotel tou can do it by walk thru Amari tunnel that cross the road and about 600mtr after from Amati side.

This hotel was not recommended at all. Our confirmed booking reservation doesn’t listed in their system in the first they told us when we arrive and then they tried moved us to other property near by which i guess is also his property but with a new booking and it cost more 100baht for a double room instead apartment initially we are booked. I insisted them to solve this win win solution, not just easy told us that the room is full and we can book other property with more expensive price. I wandering if this is a trick from property to scam guest, because my reservation is still confirmed when i check at my account. After a while they give us the room at other property for 1000baht from 990baht we had initially reserved for apartment.

Below was our various photo taken since first day in Krabi till flight out to Bangkok.

Trip Map

Bor Thor River Cave Kayaking Today we take a kayaking tour at Bor Thor village which highlight kayaking in a cave.
