Now a pedestrian-only zone running from Jingwei Jie up to the Sōnghuā River, the street, and those nearby, are lined with buildings that date back to the early 20th century. Some are imposing, others distinctly dilapidated, but the mix of architectural styles is fascinating.

Teeming with shops, malls, cafes, restaurants and other tourist attractions, this street offers a full range of recreational options, as well giving the visitor a snapshot of Harbin’s varied history.
