Perth and Fremantle City
Today we go to Rottnest Island. From Exclusive Bacpackers we have a breakfast near the Red Cat bus stop at Charlton, it was Irish Sandwich. Me having a sausage roll and mel having a beef bacon, total for 16aud.
From there we suppose took Red Cat from Charlton to Wellington Forrest, but instead we have a walk to Perth Station while enjoying the city, it’s only 1.3km long. Arrive at Perth Station we buy a two zone ticket for 4.5aud per person and took the train at platform 7 to last stop at Freemantle station.
Arrive at Fremantle Station, we go to E-Shed Market known as cheap souvenir market. We bough a lot there, actually Mel was bought a lot, not me :). We even bought another cabin bag to hold the stuff. From there we go to harbour to the Cicerrol for lunch, me was ordering Seafood Chowder and mel was ordering Scallop plus chip, total for 51aud.
Finish lunch we took Uber from in front Cicerrol to Northport Harbour where Rottnest Express terminal located and depart. We didn’t board from E-shed terminal because we took the 13:45 schedule. The uber only cost 13aud for the ride. Arrive at the terminal, the boat depart half hour later, only need 20-30 minutes ride from Northport to Rottnest.
Rottnest Island
Arrive in Rottnest we check in first at Rottnest Hotel and then head out to Bathurst Lighhouse by walk. Along the trail there a lot of Quoka everywhere, they don’t seem scare of human. Others there’s a lot of bird.
Back from Bathurst we have a dine at Rottnest Hotel Restaurant, me was ordering Harvey Beef Grain fed Scotch Fillet with warm potato salad, mitzuna and chimichurri, while Mel was ordering Arkady Lamp Rumb with roast pumpkin salad, seeds, feta & chilli dressing. All for 74aud, quite expensive considering the taste and quality of the food.
Finish dine then we go back to room to have a rest for tomorrow journey around the island with Island Explorer bus.
