Dinh King & Le King Temple

Today we are going to Tam Coc Hoa Lu in Ninh Binh province. It is 123km from Hanoi and took 2:30 hour drive. After one hour drive we took a stop over for a rest room. As usual the rest room is in the shop. After that continue one hour more drive and arrive at temple. In here we stayed for 45 minutes before head to restaurant for buffet lunch.

Dinh Temple is located in Truong Yen Ha Commune and Le Temple is located in Truong Yen Thuong Communce, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province. Dinh Temple worships King Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Temple worships King Le Dai Hanh. These temples were built in 17th century.

Dinh Temple was built in the shape of a Chinese character. Through the first entrance called Ngo Mon, there is a stone royal bed with Nghe (imaginary animals of the old times) standing on both sides. Inside the temple is Khai Thanh in worship of Emperor Dinh’s parents.

Tam Coc

After lunch in front of restaurant opposite the way is the place where we gonna get on a small paddle boat to do the Tam Coc trip which in Vietnamese mean three caves.

Tam Cốc is a popular tourist destination near the city of Ninh Bình in northern Vietnam. The Tam Cốc (“three caves”) portion is a three-hour excursion by small boat along the Ngô Đồng River, beginning at the village of Van Lam and proceeding through a scenic landscape dominated by rice fields and karst towers. The route includes floating through three natural caves (Hang Cả, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba), the largest of which is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. The boats are typically rowed by one or two local women who also sell embroidered goods.

After back to where we get on, supposedly we continue with bicyling trip to local neigbhourhood for about 1 hour, but since it’s sunny and hot we decided to skipped it and stay at the restaurant before where we had a lunch.

Then when after others came back we then get on minivan again for transfer back to Hanoi and drop off at our hotel each one by one.
