Nagoya Castle, SCMaglev Railway Park, Nagoya TV Tower & Oasis21
My Flight to Japan with Airasia transit in Kuala Lumpur has been rescheduled from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm about one month before departure. Sadly that rescheduled news time is also late. The flight from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur departed at 7:30, so we arrive in KL late 1:30 ahead. That’s make a little window time for us in Kuala Lumpur because there is no changing schedule flight from Kuala Lumpur to Nagoya.
AirAsia has moved all the operation to KLIA2, many space has still empty and being renovated, that’s including food court or some kind like that. Arriving at midnight given us no option but only McDonald. We order two Big ‘n Tasty and eat fast like we are on a race :).
Departing from KL and arrive at Nagoya at 8:30 local time we embark to immigration. The queue are very long, it almost took nearly over two hours for us to complete the process. At first my sight there’s only two officer in duty handle for foreigner and instead 4 officer handle for Local resident. Plus the security checking for foreigner is much tighter that make the process also slow.
After clear at immigration we get IC Prepaid card with Manaca’s name. Deposited with 500 for the card and top up to 2500 per card for me and my wife. We take the Meitetsu line form Central Japan Station to Nagoya Station. Time showed it’s almost 11:00 o’clock,our stomach already yelling for food. So instead doing anything we find food first to eat, with no preference we just go inside a restaurant called Long Champ. Both of us ordered chicken katsu, it cost us nearly 2.000 yen total. Later also we had some food at other place we total amount not much different from before, i think the standar living cost in Japan that is high. I have heard that in 2014 Japan is the most expensive country in the world for the living cost.
Continue the story, after we finished the lunch we go to JR Information Centre for exchange our JR Pass started tommorow. Its only need paspor and fill out the form and the duty officer will print out for you the ticket pass with valid date usage.
Our hotel is near the station, just accross the street in front of the station is the place. The room are smallbut clean. We being given a Shiseido ammenities, my wife feels shocked with the ammenities. We take a bath to refreshen up our nody from a long journet befiore continuing our trip today.
Since we already late 3 hours so we cut up 3 place that we has planned before, it was Nagoya City Sciendce Center, Nagoya City Art and Hosoishonu Kannon Temple.
Nagoya Castle
Starting the itinerary we go to Nagoya Castle at Shiyakusho Station. From Nagoya Staton take Higashiyama Line to Sakae Station, 2 stop and continue to Meijo Line from Sakae to Shiyakusho Station, 2 stop. The entrance ticket price for adult is 500 yen. Walkng inside the area i think its a bit nothing special, take a photo here and there, and buy an ice cream with green tea flavour. Sure its was releiving since that noon is very hot and the sun shine brightly.
SCMaglev Railway Park
Leaving Nagoya Castle we continue the trip to SCMaglev Railway Park, it was museum for JP Rail company, its exhibition ranging from first series train in to last Shinkasen Bullet train. We go there by taking Aonami Line from Nagoya Station, it is 10 stop from Nagoya Station to Kinjofuto Staition at the end if the line. It a bit strange that JP Company museum but with Aonami (non JR) lines only access to there. Sadly the museum is already close at 17:30, the last admission is 30 minutes befores. So we just took photograph around, not inside.
Nagoya TV Tower & Oasis21
Leaving SCMaglev Railway Park we heading to Sakae area to go to Nagoya TV Tower and Oasis21. This time we get to to the top observation deck. The entrance fee is 600 yen discount from 700 yen, we got a voucher discount from information center that we asked earlier about a way to this place. Finish up there we get down and take a pic of the tower fom below. Continue to dinner and then want to go up to Sky Roof Oasis21. And again its already close since 9:00 pm. So we took a surrounding picture there.
We end the date by get back to our hotel with the same line we took before, except it was return route.
