Tateyama Alpine Kurobe Route

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
Today we are going to take the Alpine Route starting from Toyama to Shinano Omachi and continue to Tokyo. Wake up at 5:00 am we wanna catch the morning train so that we can have a much time in there. Our plan was stop over at Bijodaira, Midagahara, Murodo, Daikanbo, Kurobedaira, Kurobeko and Kurobe Dam. Only first three and Kurobe Dam that have a sighseeing course ranging from short to long walk, others is only observation deck or small area around terminal.
Starting from Dentetsu Toyama we buy ticket up to Ogizawa, the last course of Alpine Route. From Dentetsu Toyama to Tateyama using train and continue using cable car from Tateyama to Bijoidara, this cable car run with 45 degree slope line going up. We were late one hour behind our schedule and when we arrive at Bijoidara the next schedule bound stop over at Midagahara is a long waiting time, so we decide to go directly to Murodo. We abort our planned course at Bijodaira since its only greenery lush and nothing much to see.
Continue to Murodo with Bus we also didn’t take the Mikuragaike Pond Loop Course because it’s very tired to walk on the snow. The snow is still thick so it makes us hard to walk. We only go to snow wall corridor and walk to pond and return without completting the course. It’s was beautifull place, covered with snow everywhere, we also made a little snow man and love sign with snow.
Continue from Murodo we heading to Daikanbo using Trolley Tunnel bus. This bus run in the tunnel deep of the mountain powered with electric. This Daikanbo place is only have an observation deck. Doesnt’ need a long time to stay around here, taking a photograph for a moment and then we depart to Kurobeidara with Ropeway, a big ropeway that can carried many people inside. Here also only have small area for observation.
Next from Kurobedaira we continue to Kurobeko with Cable Car, this time is heading down. The end of this line is Kurobe Dam, a big structure of man made dam. Its was scary of hell to see from the side of the dam to the bottom. The dam doesn’f flow water when we were there, in November you’ll see that amount debit of water flow from one side to the other. This place also offer a sightseeing cruise along the dam, it’s said it was the highest cruise on Japan.
Finish up we take the Tunnel Trolley bus again to Ogizawa and continue with a bus to Shinano Omachi, a JR Station for heading to Shinjuku, Tokyo transfer at Matsumoto. We arrive in Tokyo at 23:00 PM and stays at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Toyocho.
