Temple of Heaven & Tiananmen Square,
Our flight to China is with AirAsia, from Jakarta-Beijing and Kungming-Jakarta. Flight from Jakarta to Beijing transit at Kuala Lumpur, departure at 11:30 Am arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 14:30 and lay off for about 4 hours till continue flight at 18:30 arrive in Beijing at midnight 1:30 Am.
Since there is no public mass transporation to downtown at that time and we doesn’t intent to sleep at airport so we took a cab from the airport. I already research before what taxi we should took in there since might be there a lot of taxi that unmetered or not fair. We took a yellow cab, the driver barely can’t speak English. Since we already prepared the adrress in mandarin so we give the address to the driver and seems he know where is that place.
We booked a hostel called Lucky Family Hostel based on good review in the internet, the place is located in the alley. At first it seem a little bit hard to find the place. I utilize GPS to find the position. The place blend with local house, the only different mark in that place is the red lampion place in front of the building to easy identified.
Arriving there we’ve been served with young girl in the reception, proceed check in, pay the fee and buy a noodle cup for my empty stomach :). Finish up with everything then we go to sleep to rest for tommorow morning trip.
Temple of Heaven
This morning we go to Temple of Heaven, walking from hostel to subway station about 200mtr, not so far. We utilize subway to go around. It’s very convenience, fast and time reliable, information said that Beijing is the second best subway in the world with is flat rate for one ride in the entire subway network. So if you get on and as long as you don’t get off than you just pay one riding fee. It’s been said that because of the cheap sometimes people sleep in the train with a loop route.
Arriving at Temple of Heaven, buy a admission entrance fee we go inside. Lot of local people in group doing some traditional dancing, lot of them are senior.
Tian’anmen Square
Finish up at Temple of Heaven we continue to Tian’anmen Square. This place is crowded with people visiting there. Lot of police also with uniform or casual. They guard the place like a maximum security, everywhere lot of police scatter around.
