Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kraew

Today our schedule is going to temple and market. Start the day at 9:00 am heading to central pier at Sathorn we take a boat with orange flag to Tha Thien pier (6 stops), the boat fare is 15 baht per person.

Tha Thien pier located inside the market, after arrive at pier we walked out from the market heading to the Grand Palace. From exit of the market just turn left and follow the wall of the palace until end and then turn right. The entrance gate is opposite of Sanam Luang.

Beware of people trying to have a chat with you and then in the end they tried to tell you that the Grand Palace is close. If you respond to them and trust them then you will be lured to other temple with tuk tuk along to some other place. They will tell you fantastic offer or some kind like that.

The area in Palace put a lot of warning sign of this scam, even they announce constantly but hell the scammer is still take in place. Even our group being approach with same kind of talk that boast you and at the end they tell you that palace is closed, what a shit!!! Luckily we know about this kind of scam and research before.

After arrive in front of the gate and walk inside we bought a ticket for 500 baht per person. This price including all area inside the palace, even the Vivanmek Residence, well a little bit expensive comparing with other. But anyway nice architecture inside.

Wat Pho

After finish from Grand Palace we walked out back to Tha Thien pier direction again to go to Wat Pho where the Lying Big Budha is known in this place. The ticket fare is 100 baht per person and inside there is also have temple. The ticket include a complimentary mineral bottle.

Before after finish at Grand Palace we want to have lunch, but in the area not have a single restaurant or food court. So instead we just have a snack, juice and fruit trying to fill our stomach to hold a little longer bit.

Finish in Wat Pho we back to Tha Thien pier for heading back to Sathorn pier. The fare is still same 15 baht person. After arrive we ate near our hostel Before at the restaurant in the street, i thing it’s located beside Glur Hostel, a steak restaurant. While waiting the food to be serve we get out storage bag back from Glur Hostel because we will going to the Airport later at the evening.

Finish having foods, we go to Saphan Taksin station (Sky Train) and heading to Mochit station with transfer at Siam station from Silom line to Sukhumvit line. Arriving at MoChit we plan to go to Chatuchak Market for hunting a souvenir, but unfortunate this market is closed and open at weekend only. So we turn back to the exit of MoChit station to catch a shuttle bus heading to airport. The A1 bus located is at the exit 3 of the Mochit Station, the fare to the airport is same like before 30 baht per person.

Airport is the last stop for A1 shuttle bus, they will drop you at arrival gate located in the lower level at the entrance 6/7. After arrive we manage to get our luggage where we left storage before at left baggage service. Fare for 1.5 day is 113 baht per luggage, so three of them makes 339 baht.
